the last dinner in my brain

MAINIMG(3).png

It was just another dinner party in my brain.

Suffocated by omnipotence,\ drowned by self importance.\ The ostriches’ heads buried in sand,\ now scattered around, struggling with the agony at hand.\ Cries filled the air in static soundness,\ cool but not collected, as the sound of shattering mindedness.\ The sustenance ended in a pile,\ as stomachs growl and cry in denial.\ Coiled in fear as the ground disappeared,\ now covered in a funeral of fire-lit sand,\ shattered, drawing blood from my hand.\ Astonishingly swallowed by the carnivorous ivy wall,\ tears melted into bloody withdrawal.\ The ragged room raged in temptation,\ as the rain drowned it in condensation.\ A colonnade of scratchy stone,\ cold and aggressive, sending chills through my bones.\ As the sand was submerged in rain,\ and the blood was drowned by tears of pain,\ the universe melted in vain,\ and I finally escaped the last dinner in my brain.
